Nintendo has had a rocky relationship with 3rd parties ever since the SNES and releasing an under powered console in 7th gen and now with the WiiU doesnt really help. now i wont get into the argument of gameplay vs graphics or how graphics dont matter. the thing is it does matter to 3rd parties, why? to market their games. what was one of the main reasons battlefield 3 got so much hype in 2011? its new engine and how good it looked. there were other reasons but people automatically got interested with its good looks

now WiiU released and its about the same as PS3/360 when it comes to power. the console has only a 3 million install base and nintendo is trying to sell the console to PS360 owners. so why would some 3rd parties even bother porting there games? since alot of new WiiU owners already have PS360 and porting it to the WiiU wont give them a new marketing tool by displaying how cool and awesome it looks.

3rd parties want to make money, its that simple. the problem is with nintendo's strategy not nintendo them selfs. they want to attract the "core" gamers yet they give them the same experience with 3rd parties, they made the WiiUpad to differentiate them selfs then they give you the pro controller to secure 3rd parties, resulting in you having the exact same experience that you can get on your ps360 or even worse. nintendo's strategy is messed up, they want everything. they want the core, the casuals, the kids and the adults. but thats just impossible. if 3rd parties can make money on the WiiU, trust me they will try. but as of now honestly why would they even bother?
