I disagree.But since Western 3rd parties, aside from Ubisoft, probably won´t release their main titles on the Wii U, Nintendo is better off forming partnerships with Japanese developers (like they´re doing with Platinum), seeking the 'next Retro' and more importantly, try to find a way to keep the drought for 1st party titles to minimum.
