I would say no, because it causes a shitstorm and is going to be a slow process.
Both Sides Make a lot of Bogus Arguments.
The NRA's and Right's side of Mental Health Care is going to fix the problem is idiotic, and contradictory being that they don't support health care in the first place. Mental health is complicated and expensive, and extremely to diagnose.
I know this because, I've had mental health issues (I'm bipolar). And I've seen many people worse than me. It's not so simple as to say better mental health care is going to stop violence. It's not that simple.
Much like just banning guns isn't going to solve everything Either. There's still bombs, knives etc.
The U.S. should be worrying about other more pertinent things. Like a balanced budget that cuts government spending. Than playing politics accusing Obama of not shooting skeet, and then obama showing him a picture of a shotgun.
