PS Vita will outsell Wii U lifetime.

Difference is it won't have that exclusivity. Will you go out and spend $300 for the PSVita version, or just $50 for the 3DS version? 

Didn't some notable multiplat between the two last year sell significantly more on Vita despite the lower install base?

I don't recall, bar maybe Rayman Origins (though this isn't a fair comparison as the 3DS version was awful and it was already on most systems). 

I'm not saying it won't sell well; I'm just saying the effect of a MH4 wouldn't have anywhere near the same effect as it did for the PSP, and it certainly wouldn't save the Vita in Japan when it's up against the 3DS.
