Nope, I mean the Gamepad is a traditional control, just with a touch screen. Meaning how you interract with a game is the same. You do not have to use the touch screen of the gamepad since the gamepad could just be used as a way to dispaly a map, and does not affect how you input commands in the game, unlike, for example how you inputted commands for ZeldaSS. NSMBU for example plays traditionally with (little to) no touchscreen interraction during singleplayer gameplay. So the genius about the gamepad is that it can be both a traditional and a unconventional controller at the same time, it just depends on the game and how the controller is used traditionally or unconventionally. |
It's not a tradional controller. That gamepad is HUGE and the touchscreen is intrusive and it affects the button layouts/positions and how/where you position the controller while playing. IT IS TOO BIG.
Traditional controllers are judged by more than just how many buttons they have. Design and form factor are a huge part of why they are called "traditional".
