and it's not as if people who work in that industry don't want to get a loan increase of few percent every year and rising costs of other stuff as well...so, even with the same amount of people and same time to develop a game, costs increase more and more from year to year. but gamers won't accept a 10-20% higher game price since a decade or something and probably not for next gen. no clue how that shall work in the future.
