lol @ "it won't attract as much attention as the next gen".

1) Wii U IS next gen.
2) About people being interested: Mario 3D, Mario Kart, Smash, Wind Waker HD and, probably, something about the new Zelda >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> anything Sony could show for PS4.

I'm sorry, but do expected games really attract much attention? Answer: No. What next-gen is always about, and what gets people excited is all the new things we'll see. New IPs, new tech, new features etc. As far as new IPs go, Sony always has them in spades. That's the reason it will attract more attention.

Mario, Smash Bros, Zelda and Mario Kart will all easily be bigger than any new (or current really) IP Sony either has planned or is working on. A new Zelda game announcement on the same day as a new Uncharted announcement will always leave people thinking about the Zelda one, or at least >85%. Regardless of how "new" they are. Arguably the only difference is from Watch Dogs and TLOU, though again they had a bit of buzz for a few weeks and then that was it. Be prepared for when the new Mario, Zelda etc. are actually shown, and then see the reaction.

The PS4 may attract more attention now, but so did the Vita. Because it was new and shiny, but Sony never followed it up and now the only mention it gets are "where did it go wrong?" really. Expect the PS4 to have a similar, but not as large, issue.

Here lies the dearly departed Nintendomination Thread.
