ok, but that doesn't have anything to do with me.  I played the game.  I gave my opinion of what I felt about the game after having played it.  It isn't any more baseless or false then anyone else's opinion that has played the game.  In fact, the sentiment I had was echoed in many of the reviews of the game.  So I don't get why you guys are attacking me.  I mean, this is a thread talking about how a lot of the big reviewers hated this game just like me.  Good grief people...

You didn't express opinions, you expressed what you felt were facts. You know, like saying "it wasn't terrifying". Other people had already said that they felt it to be the most terrifying example, but you responded by saying it wasn't terrifying. And this is one of the things you base your opinion on. You didn't say "I didn't find it terrifying", you said "it wasn't terrifying".

Note that I wasn't attacking you. I was pointing out the futility of responding to someone challenging your claims by going "it's just my opinion, so it can't be baseless". You were, quite simply, wrong in that statement. Opinion can very much be baseless.

And I'm afraid that you're wrong. The thread is about how certain big reviewers gave the game a low review score, even though just about every other reviewer gave it a high one. Note that Joystiq would also be considered a "big reviewer", and gave it a 90%. And the thread is, more importantly, about the disparity between them, and the question of why this disparity has arisen. We don't give a crap how good or bad the game actually is, so much as why that disparity exists.
