Perhaps i would enjoy the choppers and jets were bit easy to get into. So i generally like Halo/COD kind of FPS for multiplayer. Integrating solid voice chat would certainly help. I totally agree and your last sentence is the persistance most demand from Sony when it comes to this genre that seems fall out of their grasp so easily when some proper analyzing could definitely help their cause.
Battlefield is quite accessible, but yes if you dont master the vehicles and combat style of that game you can either get burned out or get killed quite easily. It takes more dedication.
