Look at The dark Knight Rises for example. That movie is violent, dark, gloomy. All around not good. People getting ripped from their homes, people murdered like nothing, the court scenes are brutal. It's like Christopher Nolan was living out his fantasies in this movie (wanton violence, "bad people" in show trials then being ruthlessly murdered, etc. etc.)
Then we have someone who acted out his fantasy in real life by shooting up a theater. Christopher Nolan acts out his insane fantasies in his movies, some people unfortunately do in real life.
