Well, I think that's enough ranting for one day.

Google doesn't overcharge for extra memory. They want you to use cloud for storage purposes. They don't offer high storage options because of that.

I agree in general though, no SD card means no buy for me. I have been using Samsung products for this reason lately and I am interested in Xperia Z.

While that may be true, that may be even worse. Do the Nexus 7 & 10 even support 3g? Even if they do, that's just an extra, unnecessary cost as far as I'm concerned. Not only that, but they still do charge $100 for a measely 16gb extra on the Nexus 10. Their device is considerably cheaper($400 vs $500) than the iPad for what you get, though, so it's (somewhat) more justifiable for them to be charging so much for so little.
