While that may be true, that may be even worse. Do the Nexus 7 & 10 even support 3g? Even if they do, that's just an extra, unnecessary cost as far as I'm concerned. Not only that, but they still do charge $100 for a measely 16gb extra on the Nexus 10. Their device is considerably cheaper($400 vs $500) than the iPad for what you get, though, so it's (somewhat) more justifiable for them to be charging so much for so little.
