Still, they have plenty of room to turn it around. This launch has been shit compared to their expectations, but there still aren't any big system sellers out for it yet. If Zelda and Smash don't push units, then we can start calling next of kin and making funeral arrangements.

I for one would say Mario and MH are two of the biggest system sellers in Japan, but maybe not when looking at the sales of the WiiU

With Monster Hunter, though, isn't that the THIRD port of a game that came out 4 years ago? Not to mention it was already on the Wii and the 3DS, which is getting a proper 4th game as well. I don't know if MH3U was destined to push much.
Same with NSMBU, which came out just a few months after NSMB2 and is the 4th game in a series built around 80's/90's nostalgia. You can only prime that pump so many times so quickly. I'm waiting to see how the new 3D Mario does.
