Sadly, I don't. I really did try everything to get it working. I resynced, of course. I moved the whole system upstairs. I disconnected the Wii U power and the gamepad battery for 15 minutes. I disabled my household's 5GHz wifi.

The idea it might be faulty certainly occurred to me. It was wacky for about three hours, but then snapped back into action and has been reliable anywhere in the same room ever since. Wish I knew what the problem was, but I'm happy as long as it never shows up again.
