My #35 is The Godfather Part II. It's not an easy task picking one Godfather over the other, but my vote has to go to Part II which is larger in size and scope than its predecessor. The narrative logic of Part II is a big part of what makes it so great. Two stories, both of which are strong enough to support an entire movie on their own, are brilliantly woven together by Francis Ford Coppola and Mario Puzo. DeNiro shines as Vito Corleone. The Godfather Part II was the first sequel to win an Oscar for Best Picture.
