PS1 and PS2 were competitively priced at $299. They just went bat shit crazy on PS3.

I'm confused by your MS statements.

1. What is a, "proper game." How are they different from, "strong titles" and "commercial games." In my head it sounds like you're saying MS is just pushing games people actually buy.

2. I still don't understand how multimedia is the primary goal for MS, yet their games are at par or arguably better than Sony's. I've heard stories about MS spending a ton of money to push new games or a gaming peripheral to help move hardware. But I never heard them spending a mega budget to advertise multimedia features. This is where your logic falls apart.

1.I was referring to the shovelware that are Kinect titles as the games people "want", but truthfully those games sales are attatched to the KInect. Outside of Kinect Sports and Kinect Adventures its all a sham and Microsoft will keep putting money into that sham.

2. Microsofts games are nowhere on par with Sony. Microsoft finally got to Sonys level productionwise with Halo and theres Forza and that it. Outside of that they are not on Sonys level, save for two competitors.case) The games that bolster Micrsofts ranks are mostly second and third party exclusives (including DLC in Microsofts case). I mean, you may like their games better but Sonys first party has more highly rated games than  Microsoft (let alone IP's). Lets see if Microsoft can turn that around with Black Tusk next gen.

We've been following the core media apps—Music and Video—since the Windows 8 Consumer Preview. That development hinted Microsoft wanted to become a viable competitor to Apple and Amazon in the multimedia content realm. We found the first glimpse compelling, a signal that perhaps there was a true stake for Redmond to claim.

Now with Windows 8 live, the Preview groundwork has been built upon. As you'll see here, things have changed, but not always as expected. The evolution of Music and Video begins up front, where the apps have shed their Zune branding. Instead, Microsoft chose to reuse the Xbox brand, as the company moves to expand the scope of the Xbox name from gaming to all media and entertainment.

Not saying its a bad thing because I enjoy listening to music (dont watch the movies on my Xbox though). Microsoft is pushing multimedia for the general public wayyyy harder than they are with games. This gen since there wont be as many exclusive this party titles they will be left to their own devices. Lets see how they hold up seeing how Sony ended things with them.

You have been arguing and defending Microsoft for something the media has been reporting on since they changed the Zune name to Xbox last year outside of the Xbox platform. Doesn't sound far fetched when I say the Xbox will get worse later on and will be no different than Microsofts OS on PC with a couple games to boot, now does it?

1. The Kinect games MS put out are actually pretty decent for casual motion games. You can't honestly say Sony has delivered high quality games designed for the Move. MS pushes Kinect games because its actually profitable. Sony mostly gave up on Move because not many people are buying the hardware or software. If it actually was a success though, you know damn well Sony would put a lot more money in that, "sham."

2. In your head Sony creates tons of great games. In reality, the only genuinely great games they put out this gen were Uncharted and GoW. Pretty much all their other PS3 games were just average. I know critics love Killzone, but the reality is most shooting fans think it sucks and that's why it hasn't grown in popularity.

Keywords, "expand the scope of the Xbox name from gaming to all media and entertainment." They said expand the Xbox name, not move away from games. Like I said before, MS's hardware is more profitable as a multimedia machine than the PS3. That's why MS promotes its multimedia features. And they still put out games at par with Sony, so your argument still doesn't hold any water.

What has the media been reporting? Xbox is great for multimedia features?

Are they reporting Xbox isn't about games anymore? No, that's just you.

I don't understand this statement, "Doesn't sound far fetched when I say the Xbox will get worse later on and will be no different than Microsofts OS on PC with a couple games to boot, now does it?"

Are you implying Windows sucks? What couple games are you talking about? You seem to think you're making great points, but you haven't made any and I'm not following you.

Its quite obvious that you just do not want to understand. I never defended Sonys stupid mistakes because I keep an open mind and keen eye for the proper decisions of a company. We are at an impasse because of miscommunication, I think this should end here.

You keep an open mind and keen eye for proper decisions?

According to your other posts... you're convinced MS expanding multimedia features is the end of Xbox as a gaming machine and this will allow Sony to bury them next gen.

That isn't an open mind or a keen eye... that's probably just wishful thinking from a rabid Sony fan.
