I honestly like the DualShock as it is and as it's always been. I never got used to the XBox controller as being more comfortable, as some people suggested, though the ease with which I switch from one to another leads me to believe that people just like to complain.
Only thing I would actually change are, indeed, the triggers. As they are right not, it's easy for your fingers to slip off them at the worst moments.

If the change the D-Pad I would actually be really upset of that. If it's one thing that I've always loved about the PlayStation controllers it's the D-Pad. Proper button separation is so much more comfortable than what the XBox has going for it.
Funny thing though...I've just stacked the 360 controller with the PS3...I don't see why people keep complaining about the PS3 being too small when the 360 has extra just a bit of useless plastic. Otherwise, the main dimensions of the controllers are pretty close. Or at least that's how they seem to me.

Been playing these consoles for...15 years I think, maybe more. Played the original XBox, the 360, the Wii, all the PS consoles to date...and I can't say I've ever had a more comfortable experience than the DualShock has offered. It may be that I'm just completely adapted to it...or that it's a design that's pretty much nailed most of what it needs to be.
