Report: China seeking to end ban on console sales (Sony, Nintendo up)

Sony will pounce on this, they've always been good at utilizing second world markets that others neglect.

Hopefully Nintendo will seize opportunity as well, but I wouldn't be surprised if they failed to capitalize on it, they've traditionally ignored such markets.

So... why were consoles banned in China before?
