I had the urge to comment on that...
@bold it was possible with a simple driver prior to windows 7 (well the USB cable wasn't included) (now you need additional software, ds3 tool for example, but it can cause bluescreens, because it is faking a driver signature to run as a valid driver)
so now to the different points...
@1, 3, 4, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 completely disagree (also, I do not really understand 1...)
@2 no, the DS3 is already to heavy, the weight of the Sixaxis is better... (increasing the size is preference)
@5 preference, while I do like the current solution, I did not have a genesis (or played one) to have a comparative. But if the genesis had one of these weird non seperated D-Pads I do not like it...
@6 No, the AA support is not good, it would encourage them to not hand out a controller with an Akku, but only AAs... making the internal battery replaceable is a neat idea though, in case it breaks, the controller isn't garbage... (also one could argue with conservation of resources)
@9,10 while I can see the purpose of colouring the buttons, I do not agree with it, I don't want a colourful joyride as controller, I love the basic blackness of the controller. Dumping XO▢△ is also not a good idea, i would agree on a recolouring of O or ▢ though.
@12 You mean like the connectable move controllers that were displayed on some fan art? It would look shit, and prolly be bad to use, so maybe not a good decision.
@13 why waste money on a hardware feature when you can turn it off via the software...
I felt I needed to make this post because I mostly disagree.
