3DS seems to have the better library now but if you're willing to wait longer I feel the Wii U is going to have a much better lineup and much more potential in the future. So I suppose if you're the patient type, go for Wii U. If not, 3DS.
I can't really afford either atm after I took the plunge on a new gaming PC so that makes the choice easy for me.. Be happy you can afford one of them
