I'm too lazy to figure in the games that I sold, but just based on my existing collections it's about the same with this gen slightly ahead. The things is, last gen I only owned the Gamecube whereas this gen I have both the Wii and the PS3, so I had more for a single console last gen.
Now if you consider the Virtual Console, then I had vastly more this gen.
And regarding handhelds I have a few more GBA games than DS games.
