why would anyone believe in a book someone wrote? even my medical textbooks are full of error, and these are heavily researched evidence based book... We don't even know who 'really' wrote the bible. Probably some guy trying to make some quick cash on sheepish believers of their time.

Recently came back from San Francisco, on the street there was a guy in the street preaching about Christianity; ppl looked at him weird and treated him like a mad man next the the subway station. Ppl did the same back in the days and were mostly treated with respect... so who was divinely inspired again?! times have chance, sketicisim, individualism, and critical thinking is probably the worst enemy to religion. Who would believe me if I told them I split the Red Sea in half and i can communicate with God? i will probably get treated like a mad man. Stories in the bible sound like fairy tales anyway u look at it. Virgin Mary?! LOL..who's to say the hymen was intacted, she got creampied by someone

It genuinely made me laugh, only because I've never seen anyone put it so bluntly.

Despite how he put his point accross, he has a valid point, she would of been impregnated the traditional way, weather she was rapped or simply had sex. I'd be willing to believe these two things....unless some how back then they had the tech to be able to artificially inseminate her....but that would be to much of a leap to make, wouldn't it?  Some times the simplest explination is the  correct explination, so no need to over complicate things.

As for the highlighted part, it's the internet, most specifically, it's a thread dealing with religion, such comments will be made. I'd suggest swallowing a cement pill or simply ignoring these threads, your choice :)

I can see that the omniscient Creator of Universe definitely needed some ''tech''to impregnate a woman while keeping her virgin... it's not like he's God or anything...

 As for the highlighted part, that's exactly the reason why such comments shouldn't be made. But as long as despicable people exist, they unfortunately will be.

The basis of your claim is based on the assertion that god exists, since you have made an incredible claim; please provide the proof for your claim.

I'd like to propose an idea, if 'God' is 'omnipotent' and created adam from dirt and eve from adams rib, then why not create Jesus in the same fashion?

There is no need for a human vessel, surely 'God' could have created Jesus as he did adam. The people of the time would have been shocked but pleased at the presence of their god, and yet this was not the case.

 

Side note:

I have no doubt that A Jesus did exist, so let’s propose this secondary idea, the Jesus of the bible was not 'Gods' son, nor was his conception anything different from any others in his time, he was just a normal man. A man with ideals, good ideals, such strong ideals that he voiced them in public. He's ideals conflicted with the king who ruled, so much so that he was cought and executed. his ideal while alive resinated with people and developed a following, when he died, he died for his ideals and became a martyr for them. Among his followers their resolve in his ideals was cemented and began to spread his ideals but in doing so the Jesus of the bible was created.

Now we know from History that folk stories have some times drifted from their origins making them seem more spectacular than they once were, it is a strong possibility that such a case could of happened with Jesus of the bible. So it would seem more logical for this to be true as there have been martyr's in modern time just as Jesus was in his. Rather than take a leap of faith and start talking about a supernatural being performing supernatural acts despite no such phenomena actually being observable in our modern societies. Keep in mind pretty much every civilian has recording devices in their phones. Kinda odd that more supernatural phenomena was happening so often back then , but now with the advent of recording technology this phenomena is almost non-existent, no matter how much people try.
