You know how difficult that question is...
The tension between the characters. The scene where Mathilda puts a gun to her head threatening to pull the trigger to force Leon to admit that he cares for her stands out the most for me.
I guess the way Mathilda changes Leon's completely monotonous unrooted life / way of thinking.
