Kingdom Hearts started on a Sony console and gained popularity on a Sony console and all the main sequels are exclusive. that's why its a Sony exclusive.

How does one define "main sequel"? The fact that it's numbered?

OK, so Final Fantasy 2 is a main sequel to Final Fantasy 1.

More importantly, it's not an official exclusive. The franchise is seen on other platforms, and that in itself proves that you can't be certain about what happens in the future.

Consider that Final Fantasy 1-6 were all on Nintendo platforms. And then Final Fantasy 7 was on the Playstation. Consider that Monster Hunter 1 and 2 were both on PS2, and all the other games in the franchise were on Sony systems... until Monster Hunter 3 turned up on the Wii.

In fact, Monster Hunter 3 puts paid, so to speak, to your assertion, because it's pretty much a more extreme version of what would happen in the case of Kingdom Hearts 3, since MH hadn't been on a Nintendo system before MH3 was an exclusive.
