The fact that you specified NPD data (as opposed to WW sales), it's certainly possible that it may not. But the beauty of it is that I didn't even have to wager a bet for you to declare it.

logic tells me if wiiu sold 470,000 at launch with mario in december and no supply issue, then its  impossible for it do 1.1 million in december 2013.

i wouldn't count ninty out just yet mate. Mario isn't ninty's only big hit.

outside of wiisports, mario is the only heavy hitter.

yea sure but my point is that ninty has more weapons yet to be released. may not be as big but big enough to boost sales.


if it was selling at a descent  level, i would agree with you, but its selling like a dead system, being outsold by the vita in europe and very close to vita numbers in the us.
