The 3DS has at least a 1 GHz duo-core CPU (source: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nintendo_3DS )

no it does not:

ARM11 MPCore 2x 268MHz & 2x VFP Co-Processor

[11] Official Documentation!

As mentioned, DMP's (Digital Media Proffesionals) PICA 200, 268Mhz

now twice i have had to show you, you still in your post still wonder if the PSVita's GPU boast advanced features to increase its abilities in graphics?

PowerVR’s Series5 (SGX) series feature pixel, vertex and geometry shader hardware. They suppport OpenGL 2.0 and DirectX 10.1 Shader Model 4.1.

yes sparky the PSVita's GPU does indeed handle advanced features in fact can handle better GPU advantages that the 3DS Single core GPU cannot handle at all. The 3DS is a great machine but It's Hardware is not even close to what the PSVita can handle. That does not make the 3DS any less fun. It is just the truth

  • Reduced heat production and lower overheating risk
  • Redesigned pipeline, supporting faster clock speeds (target up to 1 GHz)
    • Longer: 8 (vs 5) stages
    • Out-of-order completion for some operations (e.g. stores)
    • Dynamic branch prediction/folding (like XScale)
    • Cache misses don't block execution of non-dependent instructions
    • Load/store parallelism
    • ALU parallelism
