Nintendo didn't expect the gap to be any bigger than that through March. They'd need to sell something like 300k a week to meet that goal now; this is the last time the Wii got above 250k for a while at the same point IIRC. And as people have pointed out, it took several years before the Wii had numbers this low.
It's pretty bad.
