But I agree Sony would benefit more from it. Darksiders could be Sony's answer to The Legend of Zelda.

not really, considering two of the most hyped games this year are The last of us and beyond two souls and those are the two biggest example of when sony gave their devs the freedom to create the game they wanted. 

Sony giving their devs creative freedom is the entire problem with their first-party strategy. Sony's devs are there to sell PlayStations, not to make "art."
