not really, considering two of the most hyped games this year are The last of us and beyond two souls and those are the two biggest example of when sony gave their devs the freedom to create the game they wanted.

I'm pretty sure God of War: Ascension (Sony) and Grand Theft Auto: 5 (Rockstar) have bigger hype.

Nah many of my friends don't even know about TLOU but are pumped up for GOWA. And anyways GOW is a well-established franchise and every main game in the series has sold over 4 million units.

sorry if i seemed like i ignored you but a lot of people were replying to me and i just didnt notice your reply. and i dont want it to sound rude but what your friends are hyped for really doesnt matter, because after all you guys are just a few a people. for example the people i know are way more hyped for TLoU but that doesnt really matter as we are just a few people. what we can really use to indicate hype is new websites, forums and general reception on the interent as there we are dealing with hunders of thousands of people, not just a small group
