No DMC4 had the hype behind it to be the first HD Game of a great PS2 Franchise.
Final Fantasy 13 sold well too - Why?Cause people thought it will be the usual great Final Fantasy with a big open world and all that stuf...just in HD.
We all know how this turned out and FF13-2 reflect real sales for this bad "FF13 Series"...Only Versus13 would get and deserve great sales.
I didn't like DMC4 and in terms of gameplay DmC is superior to DMC but behind DMC1+3.
But i played DMC4 for more than 1000 hours on both consoles and later on PC for the Legendary Dark Knigh mode and better graphics.
Why?On consoles i like the leaderboard system - While i played it i was Nr1 EU on Xbox and not so high on the PS3 ones(better and far more players)
DmC is a good game and people who really care how Dante looks are kinda empty in the other parts of their life.I don't care how he looks as long as he doesn't look like a bald spacemarine.He could look like Hello Kitty.The only thing i don't like are the 30FPS but when the game is on a Steam Sale i will get it a 2nd time on PC for cheap.
Ninja Theory did a damn good job in terms of gameplay and stuff.Its far better than expected.
If i wouldn't play Path of Exile i would try to get better on the Leaderboards on DmC right now.But Path of Exile is more important cause we waited for the real Diablo 3 far too long.Thanks Blizzard for screwing up so bad and destroying everything for the CoD Casuals and money btw!
Well to be honest - Path of Exile is probably better than anyone could have imagined and wished for when they heard about D3 the first time as long as they played D2.

I don't see the reason why anyone is paying 60$ or more for the yearly Copy+paste CoD.
Its the exact same game every year with a lame MP where no one needs skill and the campaign is always the same boring 2 hour long crap.
Why is anyone supporting that?Cause they can play completely brain afk a random shooter for more than 100 hours long?Are people so bored?
I rather support a great reboot or a new entry in an old franchise.BTW every Devil May Cry after DMC1 is something like a reboot cause the team of DMC1 never worked on the other ones.Crying is just for the sake of crying cause people aren't informed about anything and just follow like sheep.
And i will love to buy my 6-10 hours long God of War Ascension cause i know i will get 100% Action with a Story im interested in.
I loved to pay 60$ for Heavy Rain cause it was more or less a complete new gameplay and is still unique in this console Gen.
In general i love to support great games and i don't matter if they are only 6-10 hours long.
I have money - I imported NiNoKuni when it was new in Japan for a lot of money and now i have the PAL Version preordered just to have it.I won't play it at all.I just want to support them for the best J-RPG in this Gen on the best console in this Gen cause i want them to make more games in the Next Gen.
Oh and of course > Euro is stronger than $ and i usually don't buy games here in my country.I import.Its pretty rare that i pay more than 40€ for a game.
And sometimes new games cost directly 45€ in smaller shops here while they cost 70€ or more at our gamestop.
Thanks to the internet people get informed about that and no one buys at gameflop till they drop the price what is pretty fast cause they HAVE to lower the price on the same day mostly.

Finally, a long and educated response. BTW, I already preordered GOW Ascension and I will be supporting all hack n slash titles this year first day. I've heard that ascension will be longer than GOW 3 as well and the beta multiplayer is actually more fun than I thought (that should've been the PASBR gameplay). I wasn't majorly impressed with the Revengeace demo, but I love my hack n slash. It's basically the last remnant of the beat em up genre that seems to be a dying breed from the 90's to the early 2000's on the PS2.
