Probably, but I also didn't expect the shitstorm that hit when Nintendo bought the publishing rights to B2. That is despite the fact there would have been no B2 if Nintendo didn't fund it.  What religious nut would get upset over Darksiders? Besides the theme of the four horseman there is no real significant religious context in Darksiders.  It's all based on a fiction world as much as Kratos was in GoW or at least that's how I saw it.  If there was, that could have been the reason why no one touch the IP because someone might find offense to it.  However, I played DS and it's all fantasy based on a unique theme of the 4 horseman and not based on anything else.
