People are not used to paying Apple prices for windows based laptops. Some of those touch screen ultrabooks end up costing way too much. Of course one has to point fingers at others when the overall response to Windows 8 on desktop/laptops has been average at best.
I remember Windows 7 receiving mostly positive consumer sentiment. Such is just not the case anymore. Will continue to use 7 until 9 comes out as i've generally skipped alternate ones.
