That statement says it all........SCREENS FUNCTIONS

"rest of it"

You don't need 3D to tell depth in a game, and 720 does not magically let you over 540. The Vita's screen is 5" with a 16:9 ratio and is held right in front of you. That is fine in 540 and is actually above Standard Definition which is 480. You can call it sub HD if you want.

Also give this a read "The Vita can also handle an exponentially larger number of polygons per second. Polygons are the 3D building blocks most games are made with and the 3DS can hurl 15.3 million of them around the screen at one time. This is a decent figure, but the Vita can handle almost ten times this number, with 133 million polygons per second being processed." Here's a breakdown chart for easy reference http://www.nowgamer.com/features/1141172/ps_vita_vs_nintendo_3ds_vs_iphone_4s_specs_showdown.html

Notice the Vita has twice the resolution as the 3DS, which is 240 and know that the 3D effect cuts that to 120. 3D doesn't cut frame rate, it cuts resolution. Also know that Uncharted 3 runs native at Vita's resolution and upscales to 720.

Vita would be able to handle the graphical enhancements that they are placing in this HD version while still maintaining some of the original features in the 3DS version, like gyro aiming and Near functions as the equivelent to streetpass.

And the PC is 13 inches & up, right in front of you. Vs. the 5 inch Vita screen. At least the 3D quote draws you in like playing on your PC monitor & HD TV.

He said draw gamers into the game. Without 3D that just leaves PC monitors right in front of you & HD TVs for 2D gaming.

But at the end of the day Capcom does have gaming reasons why not to bring it to the Vita. (not money reasons for this Port with improve multiplayer, maybe they just wanted actual HD graphics, which the PS Vita & Wii 2006 doesn't have)

So Capcom just wants beautiful visuals according to you, which still leads to 3D Graphics & HD Graphics, which both the Wii (2006) & PS Vita, still has neither of.

The Modern Home Consoles & PC offers HD gaming & the 3DS offers guarantee 3D gaming, while the Wii & PS Vita visually doesn't offer anything unique from PSP & GameCube except more Polygons.

Plus why do people care that the Vita displays up to 17.7 million more polygons then the 3DS for a Handheld? (the 3rd Party Devs have the Final Final Dev Kit to both Handhelds)
