Lets say RDR is more detailed for arguments sake.  There is one huge difference that Ninja is forgetting.  The mecha will be moving like 100 mph or more across this landscape.   The horse is going significantly less.  That means the X game will need to have a lot more rendered at a time and need huge draw distance or else it will be pop up like crazy.  RDR doesn't need to render as much because it will take significantly more time for the player to reach a further distance and see the terain, ect up close and in detail.

If you're problem is that the Mecha goes 100mpg then compare this new game to GTA V then. Since I assume you can go over 100 MPH in a vehicle and over 100 MPH in the mech I think it would be a somewhat fair comparison. Plus they are both open world. We're going to have to wait till both come out though.

OT - Anyone know if this is turn based? I like RPG's but the thing that ALWAYS annoys me is having to take turns.

I was just saying based on those mecha parts it looks like your could cross the ENTIRE open world in a minute.  That means the Wii U will need to do some massive quick rendering of all objects in the game or they are all loaded already to start, or else you will have a lot of pop ups going on at once.  I'd like to see RDR or even GTA 5 as you said render the whole world in that short amount of time.

Again this is all based on a quick trailer and maybe world is even larger than I imagine, but just from what I can see on that one high hill before the mecha flies off it looks as big as any GTA game I recall.  People bashing graphics needs to understand how insane this open world looks in size and accessability.  Very exciting to see.  Of course its not going to compare to a game like Uncharted where you see no further than like a block, but for the type of open world game this looks insanely cool
