Lets say RDR is more detailed for arguments sake. There is one huge difference that Ninja is forgetting. The mecha will be moving like 100 mph or more across this landscape. The horse is going significantly less. That means the X game will need to have a lot more rendered at a time and need huge draw distance or else it will be pop up like crazy. RDR doesn't need to render as much because it will take significantly more time for the player to reach a further distance and see the terain, ect up close and in detail. |
If you're problem is that the Mecha goes 100mpg then compare this new game to GTA V then. Since I assume you can go over 100 MPH in a vehicle and over 100 MPH in the mech I think it would be a somewhat fair comparison. Plus they are both open world. We're going to have to wait till both come out though.
OT - Anyone know if this is turn based? I like RPG's but the thing that ALWAYS annoys me is having to take turns.
