Hot damn! While it looks considerably better than I was expecting, I wasn't that impressed with "X" until your comparison. I dunno what you're seeing, but on my monitor It really does look significantly better than FFXIII. The textures are less blurry and flat, the lighting looks nicer, the character models seem more detailed, and the main character doesn't run like a complete moron. It does all that while pulling off significantly longer draw distances. The only area where FF wins, imo, is the magic/attack effects. X's look a bit "ps2-ish" to me, and the water effects aren't as nice as what we've seen from Pikmin 3 either. All in all, visually, the game is a real treat. The soundtrack sounds like it'll be reat, too.
