I think so. I think we may be underestimating Nintendo's ability to join the HD graphics sphere. They were ok from N64 to cube, and they've gotten even more rapid last gen and coming into this gen (they produce a lot more games on both platforms and have more studios, they pumped out lots of 3DS games in a very short span, granted some at the cost of quality but the speed of execution is there).
Yeah, I meant sequels to 3D Mario, NSMB and Zelda 3D.
