I think Nintendo has a history of releasing cheap game consoles which are relatively easy to develop for but don't really grow much in course of time. I think the anticipated PS3 games for 2008 and 2009 are to be ranked higher than the GameCube had to offer during its entire lifecycle. So I think this will mean little from the big perspective.

I'll predict a future cheaper slimline PS3 combined with a PS2 retirement will beat Wii sales.
