Veteran game maker Shigeru Miyamoto has hinted that a new Wii Sports is in the works in some capacity, speaking to Wii.com about upcoming release Wii Fit
"As we didn't know if there was going to be a Wii Sports 2 at the time or not, I gave the director a call and said to him, 'This idea's really good, and since there's no official word on Wii Sports 2, could we have it for Wii Fit?'" the veteran designer revealed, speaking about the inclusion of jogging in the title.
Miyamoto's comments suggest that a new roster of sports might be emulated in Wii Sports 2, although presumably jogging won't be one of them. The designer hints that a new Wii Sports could be on the way, referring to not knowing on the future of Wii Sports "at the time".
Referring to the Wii Balance Board, the veteran also hinted a 1080 Snowboarding title might be possible, the designer adding his desire to see smaller 'WiiWare' games using the new control method.

Its kind of a no-brainer that they're considering/developing Wii Sports 2 but it will be interesting what is included.. snowboarding on the balance board would be massively fun in a way that the new Sonic Riders game just isn't...
