The only way Wii could hold on to 50% is if it becomes a phenomenon beyond even today's thoughts, or has a lifespan far better than the current other two.

But, today you see the Other charts, and Wii's looking at 128077 out of 238079, which is 53.8%. Japan will boost the numbers well against XBox, and overall the sales are great against PS3.

But, 53.8% is not going to cut it.... There's still 6% to make up. It would still have to sell close to 60% week by week for a while to hit that 50% mark.

Did somebody say they needed close to 60%? With 216k for America and Japan to go, this week's number will be very close to 60%.

I just got on and saw that now....   that's a really good figure by itself, let alone against the others.

More Wiis sold than DS's!  Good lord! That's like, never happened before? (I don't think, but I'm guessing on it)

 Wii Americas for the week is  216,157 / 371,797 = 58.1% "only".

I'm going to call this the "Wii Magic Number", meaning the consoles needed to be sold to hit a 50% mark IN ADDITION to matching unit per unit of PS3 and XBox360...   the Wii Magic Number is: 2.7 million

2.7 Million is needed RIGHT NOW to hit 50% market share.  That means if XBox and PS3 sold 300k combined units,  Wii would have to sell 3 million next week to hit 50%.  The difference is 2.7 million right now.

But look at it this way... that's only 12.7% (or 2 months of sales) more than Wii's life-to-date sales.

Numbers: Checker Players > Halo Players

Checkers Age and replayability > Halo Age and replayability

Therefore, Checkers > Halo

So, Checkers is a better game than Halo.
