I think 3DS has plenty of Mario in it's library right now, and a year vacation for Mario on 3DS wouldn't be a bad thing. Mario has gotten a ton of exposure on 3DS so far in order for Nintendo to jump-start the install base. Now that 3DS is in the hands of close to 30 million people they can start to use some of their other IP's.
We have yet to see a Kirby, and since this marks year two that HAL hasn't had a new game (Dream Collection not included in this), I'd say a 3DS Kirby for the holidays is almost a given at this point. Donkey Kong might see some action, maybe even Metroid.
Zelda is almost guaranteed on 3DS this year, as Grezzo will have had a full two-and-a-half years to make whatever it is they're making come November. Either a new, from-the-ground-up Zelda or a full remake of Majora's Mask. Possibly both get announced? Who knows.
But if you were to bet any money that Kirby and Zelda are both coming to 3DS this holiday you would in all likelihood see a good return on your investment.

The Screamapillar is easily identified by its constant screaming—it even screams in its sleep. The Screamapillar is the favorite food of everything, is sexually attracted to fire, and needs constant reassurance or it will die.
