Surface is a solid device. Even better considering this is their first device. I still think it will take them one or two more iterations to perfect the experience. I think for most people the price becomes an issue as Surface seems more expensive than it really is.
I personally haven't felt the need for tablet yet as i don't know where it will fit in between having a smartphone and desktop pc. Tablet's are getting better and better each year and cover most of the things average users really want to do. Exited to see what Nokia does with their windows tablet plans.
