RE4 didnt prove anything, again it was BUDGET game released early on in the console's life, how well would it have done had it been full price. And ill see your RE4 and raise you a No More Heroes, Madworld, Conduit, etc. There are alot less success stories out there. Just for the sake of argument lets say there was an audience, that audience still isnt as big as the one on HDs and not even close to the Dance, exercise demographic on WIi, and that is my point. Why a smaller market when you can support a bigger one? And cheaper at that?

No More Heroes sold significantly better on Wii than on the PS3 or 360. In fact, the first one sold more than three times as many copies on the Wii than it did on the PS3 and 360 combined. In fact, the sequel, despite selling fewer copies than the first game, still managed to outsell the PS3 and 360 versions combined twice over.

Madworld sold 700,000 copies on the Wii. For a niche game that was nothing but blatant blood and gore, in black and white and red, that's a pretty damn huge number.

And need I point out that I can name similar examples for the 360? How about F.E.A.R.? Sold worse than NMH, MadWorld, or The Conduit did - in fact, the best-selling version of any game in the series was F.E.A.R. for the PS3, which sold less than 500,000 copies. What about Metro 2033? The Darkness?

Hell, how about Goldeneye 007? Sold more copies on the Wii than it did on PS3 and 360 combined... in fact, the Wii version sold 75% or so more than the PS3 and 360 versions combined.

I'm sorry, but quite simply, your argument is absurd. You cherrypicked two niche titles and then chose The Conduit as your third example. The niche titles did exceptionally well, and The Conduit was mostly panned by critics due to issues unrelated to the quality of the game engine, which was the main drawing point of the game (and how it managed to sell over 500,000 copies).

Why not mention Goldeneye, which sold 1.75 million copies? Or Call of Duty 3, now at 2.17 million, well ahead of the PS3 version and not that far behind the 360 version? Why not mention Monster Hunter Tri, at 2.08 million, making it the best-selling console Monster Hunter of all time (by more than a factor of 3), well beyond what the original or sequel got on the PS2. Why not mention Epic Mickey, which sold 2.84 million, or its sequel (on Wii), which is outselling the 360 and PS3 versions combined?

Whether you look at games that came early or late in the life of the Wii, you can find examples like this, where Wii versions of games sold well, sometimes better than PS3 and/or 360, despite being the sort of game that the hardcore like to say the Wii doesn't even get. And when it comes to games like MadWorld and The Conduit, the question has to be asked - why weren't these games then put on the PS3 or 360, if those systems were such a great market for the games?
