it should have launched with a cheaper price

The price is not the factor:

The PS Vita at $250 took 3 months to sale 1.2 million with that last 1 month also being in the west.

The 3DS at $250 took 1 month to sale 3.6 million with the last 1 to 6 days also being in the west.

So can people please stop misinforming people about price being a factor in these kinds of sitituation.

The PS3 launch 1 year after the 360 and at the highest price and sold 1.2 million in its first 6 months despite the 360 being there for a year, and Wii coming out about the same time.

The 360 launch in 2005 with being in the best position possible for a Microsoft Home Console and sold only 1.4 million in its first 6 months, when the PS3 as I said came out later with the Wii and still sold 1.2 million in its first 6 months despite the highest price.

As of now the PS Vita has only sold 4 million with 30,000 a week in global sales.

Plus to say the PS Vita has better graphics then the 3DS, is like saying the PS3 has better graphics then the 360.

There both true statements, but the gap isn't enough to be a deciding factor for 3rd party developers........remember that the 3DS gets an additional 15.3 million polygons from its GPU (PICA200) that adds to the 3DS CPU production of Polygons to its Hardware graphics. So the 3DS Polygon count clearly isn't that far from the PS Vita higher count to attract 3rd party by the better graphics to its actual extent.

The 3rd Party Developers actually have the Dev Kits to both the PS Vita & 3DS to know the actual difference in graphics & lighting & AI capabilities and it appearatly isn't as much of a gap if they are choosing the 3DS over the PS Vita, because these are the same Devs who always choose to make games for the PS3 & 360, but not the Wii........so clearly both the 3DS and of course Vita both blow the Wii away in every functionality without even trying.
