Well wii doesn't have 90 million users really. It was bought by a lot of people but not used a games machine. Pity people didn't use it because they missed out on some great games. People weren't buying games for it. A lot of them just let it sit there and gather dust. Thats where the problem with wii truly lied. The amount of people who say they get given the option to buy it but 'overlooked' it is criminal. The creator of this topic admits to being guilty of it.
But I still believe had more third parties released proper games and not just tripe they would have seen more sales. The problems arise for wii u when unreal 4 starts becoming a norm. But until then I'm not that worried. I'll take Iwata at his word. Thats all I can do. Its not like they have just been telling people what they want to hear. They have acted. Reggie said they haven't announced everything out between now and march and walking dead was announced. Lego marvel was announced so things look ok at the moment.
If things turn out to be as bad as wii by mid 2014 then I will start asking questions but truthfully I can't see it getting that bad. I am fairly confident that (while it may not be on the same level) this system will have nintendo's best third party support since snes :)
