Yeah, the first few hours bored me to death. I don't think it really picks up until you get passed sequence 7 or so. Even then, you won't have as much fun as you did in previous game imo. I beat the game in about 37 hours, doing a lot of the side-quests, and I'd say about 17 hours of that was spent being bored. A largely boring game for a largely boring time in U.S. history.

EDIT: The combat isn't as god-awful easy as Revelations, but once you know how to counter each type of enemy (You can't counter with O for every type), and utilize your secondary weapons mid-fight, you're back to being a one-man army.
