yea they could have atleast hid the damn Wii LMAO! but that wouldn't change anything because everybody would still know that it drew major inspiration from Smash Bros
and what do you mean they present it as "PS smash bros"? |
1st of all the name.
Super smash bros-PS all stars. Both define a collection of greats it might not be that apparent in NA but note that the Jp name of SSB is called Nintendo All-stars. Yeah.
Brawl,Melee-Battle Royale This one should be self-explanatory.
2nd, the stage design.
Taking parts from your franchises is ok. But setting them in the same 2D platform fighting style as Smash along with "changing stage progression" and collapsable parts of a stage. One thing I give them is the option to turn off stage interference. That was good.
3rd, items.
Bunny ears=Boots of hermes
Freeze missile= that one ice thing from ice climbers
You get the idea, a lot of these items have the same effects, and while one may argue that these are commonplace, the repeated spinning of the Baumusu Axe seems oddly similar to the repetitive hammer strikes.....
4th Intention.
Ok look. Sony wants this to be like Smash bros. Smash bros gave me detailed stories behind characters, which persuaded me to buy some of their games. I understand that I would've never become a Fire Emblem fan if it wasn't for Marth, never played metroid until I saw samus sitting at Gamestop at 7.99 and thinking "huh I should try that".
I can totally understand why Sony wants this, the Smash games alone sold a huge amounts on Nintendo games indirectly. Smash games sold 25 mil, I can assure you that it indirectly sold 25 mil more. But seriously? It's just wayyyyyyyy too obvious. And people know that.
