Troll_Whisperer said: It doesn't get much better, I found it to be a borefest from start to finish. The main missions are bad and unimaginative and the environment is not appealing or good for parkour even (I spent most of the game running on the ground...). The story is uninteresting and the main character dull. I even liked AC1 more, and Revelations is a masterpiece next to 3. |
Well what is your opinion of 2? Since that one is easily my favorite I'd be interested to know if we agree on most of these things before I stop playing AC3 and move on to Borderlands 2.

I consider it the best, but not that far from Brotherhood. The game was fun and varied, the environments were the best in the series, the story and characters were good, Ezio is great. The combat was always easy but it was more varied and fun. The side stuff was good and exploring the cities was fun. Was it the one with subject 16s puzzles? Either way I platinum'd it.
I don't know what it is about 3. I couldn't even enjoy the core mechanics of the series in that game, I think the environments are badly designed for what AC is meant to be. Hell, you can't even reveal the whole map by climbing all the viewpoints, and exploring doesn't help because you reveal a tiny line wherever you go. There's nothing fun to climb, the missions are "go there, then there, then push a button, then come back". I was hoping that NY would be more fun but no, it sucks too. I don't know, this game may have put me off the series.

I think we are the same person @___@
I also platinum'd AC2 and enjoyed every second of it. Remember those hidden tomb puzzles? Oh good times...
But anyway, I agree completely on what you think about 3, so far. I am going to give it a fair shake though. I will complete the game and update my impressions. But so far they don't doing the series justice.
