Also, pay close attention to the following: "There probably aren't any definitive evinronmental factors that for sure causes certain sexual preference though. Considering how complicated and bizarre the human mind is, I'm pretty sure the cause of sexual preference is also complicated and perhaps bizarre." I never said gay parents would likely raise gay children. A child's environment is much more complicated than that. Parents make up a very small component of a child's overall environment. There are hundreds of other significant complex factors which all have different affects on different people. You're actually helping to prove my point with that twin study. If there are two identical twins, one as homosexual and one that's heterosexual, obviously that shows that biology wasn't a major cause. Rather, they developed into their preference as they aged. The reason I don't like the biological explanation is because people don't even have an understanding of gender until after birth. Likewise, I don't see how people would already have sexual preference before they can even understand the difference in genders. How does that work? Have you ever seen a 1 year old showing any homosexual or heterosexual tendencies? No, chances are they don't have any sexual preference yet. |
You said it's probably like 10-15% biological or something didn't you and that it's mostly psychological? You're saying it now that most homosexuals aren't homosexual for biological reasons.
If environment is the cause to homosexuality, how come we see relatively similar populations of homosexuals among all ethnic groups? Surely there's bound to be enough diversity and variation among peoples lifestyles in all the world for some population somewhere to be without homosexuals, but there isn't.
If it was just a matter of preference, couldn't homosexuals just live heterosexual lives? Why is this an impossibility?
