It was good that Sony built a handheld system, it is unfortunate that they produced the PS-Vita ...

Had Sony gone for a more affordable/stripped down pure handheld system, or created a multi-device platform (handheld, phone, tablet) that produced versions of devices that were gaming focused, I think they would be doing far better than they are.

it was good that sony built the vita.. it's by far the best handheld device they have made, and arguably the best handheld gaming device ever on the market.. the problem is.. that they don't market it right/price it too highly.. vita is what is probably making sony the most money right now.. priced at $249 to start.. and they were selling it at profit since launch.. and it's been $249 since launch

"VIta is what is probably making sony the most money right now..." That's actually kind of sad. Shouldn't it be the PS3 currently though?

How is it sad? Vita cost less than $190 to produce.. and they sell it for over $200 to retailers..

$190 at launch to produce.. that cost probably dropped below $150.. and they still sell it for oever $200 to retailers.. if they make $50 off every vita sold.. they are making much more money than most of their devices combined..

it's not sad.. it's selling okay.. 35,000 a week.. and making 50 bucks off of each unit sold each week, is a lot of revenue/potential profit..

PS3 is more than likely what is making them the most money.. cheaper model.. and increased price..

I meant the state of the company as a whole has to rely on the gaming division for some profits. They aint doing so well elsewhere.

Check my edit I forgot about Sony pictures.
