No, bad Microsoft. Let me pay £40 for my game, then leave me alone other than to fix what was broken in the game. Proper expansions are allowed, but I have no interest in any sort of episodic release.
TV shows are shown like that because they keep making them as they go and can produce them on a fast enough schedule (and this is changing with shows exclusively for Netflix being put online all the same time). It doesn't work in games because it takes a long time to make a good and meaningful product, so basically, you might as well just release it all in one go as I am sure that will make the development process easier and smoother for everyone
Now stop trying to make games into a service, just make good games, stop messing around with this cloud/social/online nonsense
